1984-2004: 20 years Serving Northeast Florida

About Us

Liberty Ambulance Service was founded in May of 1984 by Robert and Jackie Assaf.  Robert retired from Jacksonville Fire and Rescue where he served as a firefighter EMT and as an Engineer on Combat and Rescue for over 28 years.  Liberty was founded on biblical business principles and strives to maintain the highest level of integrity, customer service and quality care possible.

Liberty started running 2 units 24 hours per day from a single location.   We currently  have locations in Arlington at 1619 Atlantic University Circle, US 1 North at 295 and  in Orange Park.  Our Corporate Office location is 1626 Atlantic University Circle.  We currently serve 4 Northeast Florida Counties.

Liberty Ambulance Service has enjoyed serving the EMS needs of Jacksonville during these past 24 years by providing quality medical and non-medical transportation, standby emergency care services for many area sport and recreational events, Corporate Picnics, and participation in local and Regional MCI drills.

We provide training in CPR and First Aid to the general public, and ACLS, PALS, EVOC and Continuing Education to the EMS and Nursing community. We offer courses from National Safety Council, American Heart Association, USDOT and are available to write custom courses to fit any business's needs.  We are currently developing an internet based training site to serve our employees and the needs of the medical and allied health providers.

We are members of the  Florida Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Network Association,  First Coast EMS Regional Advisory Council, First Coast Disaster Planning Council and the National Safety Council.
