  • Valid Florida Driver License with NO tickets in the last three years

Must have knowledge of  the use of IV Pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, Doppler, and Bone Injection. UMBC Critical Care Paramedic a plus.

License/Certifications:

  • Must be certified by the State of Florida as an EMT, Paramedic or be certified by the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch as an EMD
  • Must possess a valid Florida drivers license and a satisfactory driving record including no more than two moving violations in the last three years

Specific job activities and accountabilities include:

  • Receive emergency calls and obtain information regarding emergencies such as location and nature of illness or injury.
  • Dispatch appropriate emergency vehicle to the scene using radio and computer dispatch system.
  • Transmit necessary information to field personnel via radio, telephone and computer communication systems and advise appropriate public safety staff of emergencies; Prepare and maintain records and reports
  • Evaluate location of emergency vehicles to maintain efficient and responsive deployment of resources.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

This position provides for the safe and timely transportation of disabled adults to and from their scheduled appointments, shopping, or special events. This position transfers clients, assisting them in and out of the vehicle, lifting as necessary, in chair-lifts or wheelchairs.

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have an excellent driving record.
  • Great Customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to lift without assistance.
  • Must have a great knowledge of Jacksonville locations.

Educational Requirements:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED as well as medical terminology.
  • College degree in medical coding or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • EMT or Paramedic background is extremely helpful.

Specific job activities and accountabilities include:

  • Analysis and data entry of transportation trip sheets.
  • Billing claims to appropriate payor - either insurance, facility or patient.
  • Answering telephone inquiries regarding patient accounts and/or transports.
  • Verifying patient insurance coverage using the computer systems.

We have strict policies on the following items:

  • We require that all tattoos be covered at all times (while in uniform - on or off duty). This will require anyone with arm tattoos to wear long sleeves at all times while in uniform.
  • No facial hair is allowed other than a military style mustache.
  • No body piercings are allowed to be worn at any time while in a Liberty uniform, on or off duty.
  • Liberty uniforms must be kept ironed or dry cleaned daily.

We are a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year operation and those looking for a 9-5 job need not apply as this career is not for you. Positions are generally 12-16 hours a day and at least 4-5 days a week. We want individuals that enjoy people and hard work, those able to work with little supervision and can show self-motivation.
